Sheet extrusion with counter-rotating twin screws

GermanTwinscrewS offers a selection of sheet screws specifically designed for the production of compact and foam sheets, as well as for the Celuka process. These screw geometries meet the highest requirements, including the need for precise gelling, a homogeneous melt, and efficient degassing. Additionally, the surfaces of the produced sheets must meet all optical requirements for printing technology, both longitudinally and transversely.

Our screw geometries have been specifically developed to meet these high standards and enable throughputs of up to 1,000 kg/h. We can also offer custom solutions that cover individual requirements. By using our low-maintenance oil tempering for the screws, we further optimize the processing range and ensure consistent surface quality of foamed sheets, even at maximum throughputs.

GTS screw geometries for compact sheets differ from those for foam screws and sometimes significantly exceed the requirements for geometry designs.

To maximize the service life and durability of our units, we increasingly rely on wear-protected processing units with bimetallic barrels.
