Wood Plastic Composite (WPC)

GTS offers processing units for WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) applications that work on PVC and polyolefin bases. We go beyond conventional boundaries by developing innovative solutions that allow for higher throughputs. In addition to traditional wood flour, the market is increasingly relying on various natural fibers to meet customer requirements.

For flooring applications, our processing units must deliver outstanding performance by homogeneously incorporating a high proportion of fillers into the plastic. GTS adopts a forward-looking approach by using cost-effective fillers without compromising on quality. In some cases, GTS screws process PVC formulations with a PVC content of over 25%.

The long parallel processing units with up to 40 L/D are the heart of GTS systems for the extrusion of WPC and flooring. They ensure not only optimal homogenization and melting but also offer outstanding wear protection along the entire processing length. With up to six degassing stations in GTS WPC plants and processing diameters of up to 190 mm for flooring applications, throughputs of up to 4 tons per hour can be achieved.
