We were at the IKV in Aachen
The 32nd International Colloquium on Plastic Technology in Aachen marked a significant milestone in the world of plastic technology, providing an exceptional opportunity for experts, professionals, and researchers to come together and share their knowledge. Over several days, the colloquium served as a central platform for discussing the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities in the plastic industry.
The Plastic Colloquium 2024 offered a rich array of high-profile events and networking opportunities. GermanTwinscrewS was also part of this significant event.
In a total of 15 sessions, the IKV presented current research topics closely linked to industry perspectives and needs. Each session was introduced by an experienced industry representative who opened the topic with a keynote speech and moderated the subsequent contributions from the IKV. The aim was to provide comprehensive information, highlight perspectives, and stimulate discussions.
The program also included space for four plenary lectures presented by renowned speakers from the industry, allowing all participants to follow the presentations together.
On the afternoon of the first day of the colloquium, the IKV took center stage, opening its doors with the program item 'IKV 360°,' inviting participants to experience the test facilities live. Additionally, an industry exhibition was held, featuring around 50 companies from the plastic industry showcasing their products and services.
For member companies of the IKV, there was also the opportunity for speed-dating recruiting, allowing them to meet around 30 students trained at the IKV in a short time to recruit competent young talent.
Another highlight was the 'Beer Colloquium' – the traditional evening event marking the end of the first day of the colloquium. This provided special insights into the institute's life, accompanied by live bands and singing on the grand stage of the Eurogress.
